Established in 1922, Taft College is a public community college located in the West Kern Community College District. Accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, Taft College offers an academic programs that values innovation, diversity, and creativity.

Students at Taft College can choose from more than 20 associate degree programs and 20 certificate programs in the liberal arts, sciences, and professional studies. Taft College offers an Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene that is accredited by the American Dental Association. In addition, distance learning degrees are available in Corrections, Early Childhood Education, business Administration, General business, and Liberal Arts.
