Established out of the need to provide high school graduates with career skills for the job force, Taylor business Institute offers Associate Degrees and diploma programs. Founded in 1964, the private, post-secondary School was originally named the Nancy Taylor Secretarial School. In 1972, the name was changed to Taylor business Institute and the school became a co-ed educational facility.

Taylor offers three associate degree programs and a number of diploma programs. Associate degree programs include advanced accounting, electronics engineering technology, medical billing, and criminal justice and security administration. Taylor Business Institute's diploma programs include basic accounting, electronics and computer technology, and medical secretary. Students receive education and hands-on training at Taylor, which competently prepares them to enter the work force.

A well-rounded collegiate career and education requires more than just classroom lectures and training. Extracurricular activities on campus and the culturally-rich environment of Chicago offers students many venues to explore.
