236 West Reade Ave.
Upland, IN 46989

Taylor University is located in Upland, Indiana, and was founded in 1846 by Bishop William Taylor, making it one of the oldest evangelical Christian schools in America. Though Taylor University was originally located in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the present location was created in 1893 because of the state's population boom. In 1992, the Indiana School re-established a campus in Fort Wayne.

The Indiana school is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission NCA Academic Quality Improvement Program and offers students a variety of bachelor's degrees along with master's degrees in environmental science, business, higher education and student development, and religious studies. In 2008, U.S. News & World Report ranked Taylor University as the top baccalaureate college in the Midwest region, while Princeton Review called the Indiana school one of the top 161 colleges in the Midwest.

In addition to creating a strong academic program, Taylor University also strives to emphasize Christian values, and created the Life Together Covenant, which outlines the Indiana school's expectations for its community. The covenant at Taylor University covers a wide range of goals, including that students and faculty will love God, others and themselves. Faithful participation in chapel is also expected.
