The Temple University Health Science Center is home to four schools: the College of Health Professions, the School of Dentistry, the school of medicine and the School of Pharmacy. The university is also a leader in research, with a strong background in cardiovascular disease, neuroscience, pharmacokinetics, obesity, drug abuse, lung disease and cancer cell biology.

The Kornberg School of Dentistry at Temple University Health Science Center currently offers seven areas of concentration: dental public health sciences, endodontology, oral maxillofacial pathology medicine and surgery, orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, periodontology and oral implantology, and restorative dentistry. The graduate school is also home of the Edwin and Trudy Weaver Historical Dental Museum. The College of Health Professions offers programs in communication sciences and disorders, health information management, kinesiology, nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, public health and therapeutic recreation. The School of Medicine at the Temple University Health Science Center is accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education. The school admits less than 200 medical students and roughly 25 graduate students each year, which offers students a one-on-one approach to education. The School of Pharmacy at the Temple University Health Sciences Center offers both graduate and continuing education programs. Students may pursue master's and doctorate degrees in medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutics and pharmacodynamics.
