Tennessee Technological University, a public college located in Cookeville, Tennessee, was founded in 1912 as a church-supported school with 13 faculty members. Today, the Tennessee School's 87-building campus sits on 235 acres, with a faculty that has grown to more than 350 members.

Academic programs at Tennessee Technological University include 90 undergraduate majors in degrees ranging from chemical engineering, manufacturing and industrial technology, to human ecology and web design. Tennessee Technological University also offers students 20 graduate degrees, including programs in education, engineering and environmental sciences.

The Tennessee school is home to the Bryan Symphony Orchestra, multiple art galleries, the oldest drama troupe in the region and several literary journals.
