Tennessee Wesleyan College is a private, liberal arts school located in Athens, Tennessee, on a 40-acre campus. Founded in 1857, more than 25 undergraduate programs are available to students, ranging from biology and human learning to English and psychology. Tennessee Wesleyan College also offers pre-professional preparation for students in dentistry, optometry, law, pharmacy, medicine and veterinary medicine.

Students who attend Tennessee Wesleyan College complete a four-year liberal arts program. The Tennessee School emphasizes a world view of history, literature, and culture in its curriculum. Student participation is encouraged through writing, discussion, thinking and reasoning. Bachelor's degrees given by Tennessee Wesleyan College are accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

Tennessee Wesleyan College also offers its students the opportunity to participate in various clubs, organizations and activities. Organizations include business, psychology, and wilderness clubs, along with student ambassadors and the student government association. Alpha Psi Omega and Sigma Tau Delta are among honor societies at the Tennessee school, while Alpha Xi Gamma and Sigma Kappa sororities both maintain chapters on campus. Tennessee Wesleyan College also has a student newspaper, yearbook and literary magazine. Religious groups on campus include Christian Interfaith Alliance and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

The Tennessee school is a member of the NAIA and the Appalachian Athletic Conference. Athletic opportunities at Tennessee Wesleyan College include men's and women's basketball, soccer, tennis, and cross-country, plus men's baseball and golf, and women's softball and volleyball. Full-time students can attend sporting events at the Tennessee school without charge. Various intramurals are also open to students throughout the year.
