Therapeutic Massage provides its students with the skills need for a massage career in the medical field or for a successful home
business. The program focuses on hands-on pain relief as well as relaxing and restoring. The curriculum mirrors the current trends in
massage therapy and stays up to date with the latest techniques in the industry. Teresa's School of Therapeutic Massage is regulated by the Indiana Commission on Proprietary Education.
Teresa's School of Therapeutic Massage offers a 604-hour certificate program, 700-hour diploma program, and associate of applied science degree. The certificate program covers structure and function of the human body, clinical pathology and various conditions, Graber detox massage, massage/bodywork theory, assessment and practice, instructional massage, reflexology, trigger point therapy, interpretation and analysis of assessment, clinical reasoning and problem solving to create massage treatments, kinesiology, and PNF stretching. Students also get clinical hours and learn about
business practices and professionalism, professional standards and ethics, first aid/CPR, and more.
The diploma program includes many of the certificate program courses with the addition of continuing education classes in reflexology, neuromuscular therapy (NMT), whiplash injuries, craniosacral therapy, and aromatherapy. The associate of applied science degree includes many of the courses in the other two programs with the addition of continuing education classes in acupressure, spa treatments for bodyworkers, precision neuromuscular therapy for the upper extremity, and PRMT seminars.
