Texas A&M International University is an international university located in Laredo, Texas, at the gateway to Mexico, and is set on a 300-acre campus. Founded in 1970, the Texas School became a member of the Texas A&M University System in 1989.

Because of Texas A&M International University's proximity to Mexico, the Texas school prides itself on being the intellectual center of a bilingual and bicultural community. The arts and sciences college at Texas A&M International University is the largest academic component at the Texas school. Degree offerings range from communication and Latin American studies to sociology and urban studies. Anthropology, dance, military science and social work are among available minors.
