Texas A&M International University is an international university located in Laredo, Texas, at the gateway to Mexico, and is set on a 300-acre campus. Founded in 1970, the Texas School became a member of the Texas A&M University System in 1989.

Because of Texas A&M International University's proximity to Mexico, the Texas school prides itself on being the intellectual center of a bilingual and bicultural community.
