The Texas College of Traditional Chinese Medicine is a school teaching acupuncture and other traditional Chinese medicine located in Austin, Texas. The first school in Texas to teach acupuncture and Chinese medicine, the Texas College of Traditional Chinese Medicine has developed a reputation for the quality of its education. The school was founded in 1990 by Lisa and Paul Lin, who had over 25 years of experience in traditional Chinese medicine. The Lin's were concerned with the quality of education people were receiving in the United States in practicing Chinese medicine and sought to establish a school that provided students with a high quality of education.

The Texas college of Traditional Chinese Medicine models their programs from the best of the traditional Chinese medicine schools in China. During the first year of study at the Texas college of Traditional Chinese Medicine, students will take introductory courses that will help them prepare for their internship during the second year. During the first semester, students will learn the view of diseases from the Oriental, as well as from the Western viewpoints; herbology as a compliment to acupuncture and an introduction to modalities. In the second semester, students will observe interns and during the second year, will begin their own internship program. The program extends 9-10 semesters, with an average class and clinical load of 22 hours per semester.

Prospective students wishing to enroll at the Texas College of Traditional Chinese Medicine prefers students who have completed a Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Students who do not hold a degree may be accepted upon a provisional basis. One of the requirements to be admitted upon a provisional basis is to have completed the Collegiate Assessment of Academic Proficiency Exam in critical thinking and science. New students are accepted into the program three times a year, in the spring summer and fall and courses are set for 4-5 days per week. The school does not provide on-campus living, but will assist students in locating affordable housing located around the campus.
