The Delaware Academy, a Paul Mitchell Partner School offers programs in Cosmetology and instructor training and prepares students for the cosmetology state board exams throughout the country.

The cosmetology program provides instruction in cutting, coloring, multicultural techniques, makeup, fashion trends, and the art of hairdressing in a three phase program called CORE, ADAPTIVE, and CREATIVE. The instructor program is called Learning Leader Training Program, teaching qualified applicants how to create an effective learning environment. Learning Leaders are taught to understand the value of a strong teacher-student relationship and helps students become strong leaders in cosmetology training.

The Delaware Academy's day school takes 11 months to complete and the night school takes 19 months to complete.

The academy has a variety of financial assistance options, including a student loan program through Sallie Mae.

Students have the opportunity to meet salon owners and guest artists at The Delaware Academy. The academy has additional activities and networking opportunities. Students can join the design team, take home team or student council. These groups provide hair and makeup services at a variety of community events, including hair and fashion shows, photo shoots, wedding parties, school promotions, and charitable events. During senior year, seniors take part in a photo shoot to start their portfolios.

The academy offers a full menu of services in its state of the art facility. Services are performed by students under the supervision of certified instructors. Guests can receive excellent hair, skin, and nail services.
