The Graduate School - New Brunswick, part of
Rutgers University, offers masters and doctoral degrees in fields that offer such advanced programs. Together with the Graduate School-Newark, the university has an enrollment of approximately 4,000 students in over 100 doctoral and masters programs. Though the size of the student body is large, because of the diverse number of degree programs, class size is limited.
Rutgers' graduate school sponsors many centers and institutes that are at the center of student research. Many members of the graduate faculty sit on the boards of these bureaus while research takes place under their guidance. Student research is often funded by the sponsoring institutes. Some of these bureaus include the Center for Cognitive Science,
Eagleton Institute of Politics, and Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences Institute, among many more.
The Graduate School - New Brunswick and Newark have over 15,000 alumni living in more than 40 countries. Leaders in
education, government and science have emerged from Rutgers graduate programs and can be found in nearly every industry of arts and sciences. The Graduate School also has an International Research program for students interested in taking their studies global.
