Based in the New York City, the International Institute of Holistic bodywork is devoted to providing students with training and knowledge in a variety of holistic healing modalities and practices. Unlike other holistic schools, the International Institute of Holistic Bodywork allows students to learn both either in the classroom or through home study classes.

Courses at this holistic school cover the following subjects: acupressure, aromatherapy, chakra therapy, gem essences therapy, holistic business, hypnosis, reflexology, tera mai Reiki, and thai yoga therapy. In order to graduate from the International Institute of Holistic Bodywork as a holistic health practitioner and receive a certificate, a student must satisfactorily complete five of these courses.

This holistic school was founded by Michaela Bartakova/Skrabalova, a certified holistic health counselor, registered natural healer, Thai yoga therapy practitioner, and reiki master.

International Institute of Holistic Bodywork graduates may apply for board certification for their status as holistic health practitioners through the American Association of Drugless Practitioners.

Through the holistic business courses, students will learn what it takes to start their own holistic practice. Topics covered in class include: business management, financial management, success strategies, life planning, marketing, and therapeutic communications.

Billed as "acupuncture without needles" the acupressure course offered by the International Institute of Holistic Bodywork teaches student about the various pressure points along the body and how to effectively treat and manipulate them. Upon satisfactory completion of this program, students will awarded the Certificate of Completion in Acupressure.

The Tera Mai Reiki - Second Degree Training class has limited space, with seating only available for 10 to 15 students. In order to get a spot you must pre-register.
