The Master's College is a private,
Christian college located 30 miles north of Los Angeles in Santa Clarita,
california. Students are prepared for a continuing and life-long commitment to Christ. The school was originally established in 1927 as the Lost Angeles Baptist Theological
seminary. The school is now non-denominational.
More than 1,300 students study at The Master's College each year, representing 14 denominations, from 40 states and over 10 foreign countries. There are 13-degree programs in 55 areas of study. These include: Accounting,
biblical Studies, Ciological Science, Computer Science, Finance, History, Piano Performance, Political Studies, Music
education, Print Media, Public Relations, Sports Injury Studies and Vocal Performance.
Spiritual life is a large part of campus life at The Master's College. Students are required to attend chapel three times a week and are required to live on campus in one of the seven campus residence halls unless they are married, part-time students or over the age of 21. During the Fall Outreach Week, classes are cancelled at The Master's College and students participate with local churches in children's and youth outreach, college outreach, manual labor projects, evangelism outreach, sports outreach, music ministry, women's ministry, ministry to the deaf and blind, ministry to the elderly, and ethnic outreach. The week allows students the opportunity to foster and build relationships with local churches, while using their talents and assisting the local spiritual community.
Students at The Master's College have a wealth of local, regional, national and international mission programs from which to choose. The Master's College views missionary trips as a "vocation," not a "vacation" and full training programs are administered to students before they embark on their mission. In 2008, teams visited South Africa, France, Japan, China, the Philippines, New Zealand and Uganda.
Through the Church Ministries program on campus, students at The Master's College also participate in a number of community service programs at a variety of institutions and with charitable organizations around the Santa Clarita community.
