The Master's seminary offers graduate-level biblical, theological, and professional education designed to equip men for effectiveness in Christian ministry. Located in Sun Valley, California, The Master's Seminary was founded in 1986 by Dr. John MacArthur, a former president of The Master's College. The idea for The Maser's Seminary grew out of MacArthur's involvement with The Master's College and with the Talbot Theological Seminary. MacArthur felt there was a need for a seminary to train men for the ministry in the Sun Valley area.

The Master's Seminary offers six degree programs including: Bachelor's Degree in Theology, Master's Degree in Divinity, Master's Degree in Theology, Diploma in Theology, Doctorate in Theology, Doctorate of Ministry. Students also have the option of going on the annual Israel Field Study Trip. The trip includes nearly three weeks in Israel, lectures, digging at an archeological site and time to individually explore Jerusalem. Other study abroad programs and missionary trips are scheduled when possible.

The Master's Grace Library on campus is a major theological library, housing 110,000 volumes in its collections. The campus library serves as the major resource center for The Master's Seminary as well as Logos Bible Institute and the congregation of Grace Community Church. Students at The Master's Seminary are also able to search the 130,000 volumes of TMC and the more than 1 million records of the American Theological Library Association (ATLA) database.

Spiritual life is central to the campus experience at The Master's Seminary. Students are expected to attend chapel at least twice a week. While attending The Master's Seminary, students must also participate in field training by becoming involved with a local church community and participating in its ministry. Tow hours each week, students also participate in Discipleship Labs in which they meet in small groups with a faculty or local church leader. Goals and personal, as well as ministry experiences are discussed.

There is no on campus student housing, but there are many housing opportunities in the local community of Sun Valley.

The Annual Shepard's Conference is sponsored by The Master's Seminary each spring.
