The Orlo School of Hair Design and Cosmetology is an independent, privately owned school founded in 1986. The school provides education and training in hairdressing, cosmetology, and Nail Technology.

The Orlo School of Hair Design and cosmetology's program consists of 320 hours of theory and 680 hours of practice in the basic principles of hairdressing and cosmetology, which includes hair, skin, and nails. The program provides lecture, demonstration, and student practice. Students demonstrate their knowledge through theory and practical exams and the completion of required clinic activities. The use of audio/visual aids, guest artists and technicians, seminars, exhibits and industry shows also supplement the instruction and training.

Orlo's program is offered with day or evening classes. Day classes are full-time, Monday through Friday, 30 hours a week for 34 weeks. Evenings classes are full-time Monday through Thursday and Saturday, 25 hours a week for 40 weeks. Evening classes are also available part-time, Monday through Thursday, 20 hours a week for 50 weeks. Day and evening classes begin on the first Monday of each month.
