Founded by John R. Christopher in 1953, The School of Natural Healing offers distance learning programs that educate students in herbal knowledge and wisdom. Upon completing the master herbalist program, students are able to care for themselves and their families as well as teach others natural healing methods.

The School of Natural Healing's programs are available through its college of Herbal medicine, college of Homeopathy, College of Reflexology, College of Iridology, and the College of Aromatherapy. The College of Herbal medicine programs consist of nutritional herbalist, herbalist, advanced herbalist, master herbalist, and certified herbal retailer. The College of Homeopathy has a basic homeopathic program that explores concepts in natural medicine that all levels of natural healers need to know for success. The College of Reflexology's reflexology program provides the skills needed to assess health conditions and stimulate the body to heal itself. The College of Iridology' s iridology program is a comprehensive program that provides an informative and detailed look at the science and practice of iridology, which is an ancient practice of assessing current health conditions. The College of Aromatherapy's program instructs in the fundamentals of natural health and gives students the experience of making their own essential oil formulas. The program also includes basic aromatherapy, anatomy, and making simple home remedies with common herbs and spices in the home.
