Toccoa Falls College is a private college located 90 miles northeast of Atlanta in Toccoa Falls, Georgia, that prepares men and women for the
Christian ministry. Founded as the Golden Valley Institute in Golden Valley, North Carolina in 1907 by Richard A. Forrest, the school was moved to 100 acres on the current campus in Toccoa Falls in 1911, to be closer to the railroad. Forrest was a nationally known evangelist who gave sermons in many churches of many denominations. Early in the school's history, students had little opportunity for secondary education and the college offered vocational and
high school classes, along with theological training. The Toccoa Falls High School portion of the school was chartered in 1928 and operated for nearly a half century.

Christian education, Communication, Counseling, Music, Teacher Education, and World Missions. Degree programs include Biblical studies, biology,
business, Christian education, church music, counseling/psychology, cross-cultural
business administration, cross-cultural studies, early childhood education, English, family ministries, general studies, interpersonal and public communication, middle grades education, music, music education, music performance, outdoor leadership and education, pastoral ministries, philosophy and religion, pre-law, pre-medical, secondary education - English, history or science and youth ministries.
The success of transfer or newly entering freshmen students is important to Toccoa Falls College. Freshmen students are required to take a course on college success. Tuition is not charged and credit is not given for the course, but a pass or fail is required prior to graduation. Students may live on campus in one of six residence halls or off campus in the town of Toccoa Falls. The Toccoa Falls College campus is located on 1,000 acres and has a stunning 186-foot waterfall located right on the grounds. The town of Toccoa Falls has been named by
U.S. News and World Report at one of the six outstanding small cities in the United States.

Spiritual life is an important part of life at Toccoa Falls College. Chapel is held Monday through Thursday mornings. Special lecture series are held, including Special series throughout the year include the Missionary Lecture Series, Spiritual Emphasis Week, Leadership Week, World Outreach Conference and the TFC Lecture Series. Additionally, students participate in over 7,000 hours of student ministry each year.
