Located in south-central Colorado, Trinidad State Junior College has offered a variety of liberal arts, occupational and technical education programs since 1925. The Trinidad Campus serves Las Animas and Huerfano Counties and Northeastern New Mexico through academic, technical, and cultural opportunities with diverse traditional and alternative approaches to education. TSJC is one of 13 public community colleges established in Colorado and is governed by the State Board for Community Colleges and Occupational Education (SBCCOE). The Trinidad Campus is one of TSJC's two campuses that cover eight rural counties in Colorado.

Students can earn two-year Associate Degrees in Arts, Science, General Studies or technical degrees in Applied Science. Individuals are prepared to transfer to four-year colleges or universities to complete their undergraduate studies or develop the technical skills and earn certificates that will prepare them for the future job market. The school also offers individual courses for personal growth.

The college assists students through extensive student support services which include the Learning Center, Writing Center, and Math Lab. They offer four on-campus dorms located across from the Trinidad campus as well as campus athletics which include Baseball, Basketball, Softball, Volleyball and Golf.
