is a small, highly-selective school affiliated with the largest university in canada, the University of Toronto. Its Faculty of Divinity is the oldest Anglican theological school in Canada. Trinity College in the University of Toronto has produced 35 Rhodes Scholars, and over 50 percent of graduates pursue graduate studies.

Trinity College in the University of Toronto is home to about 1,700 undergraduate students and approximately 140 graduate students studying at or beyond the Master's level in the Faculty of Divinity. Trinity College sponsors three interdisciplinary undergraduate programs--immunology, international relations and ethics, and society and law--but students are eligible to study in any of the University of Toronto's programs. Interested students have the option of pursuing an Independent Studies program, examining topics outside of the curriculum with the assistance of faculty advisors, in their third of fourth year of study.

Trinity College in the University of Toronto is a diverse campus with a large population of international students. Close to one-third of the student body reports a first language other than English. More than 380 students hail from countries beyond Canada, including Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Tanzania and Zaire.

  • First-year students at Trinity College in the University of Toronto explore international relations and ethics through the Margaret MacMillan Trinity One program. To enhance discussions and personal attention each seminar course is limited to 25 students. In this Lively environment, students develop critical thinking and research skills as well as strong written and oral communication.

  • In the First-Year Learning Community small groups of Trinity College first-year students develop close relationships, taking several common courses and spending time together outside of the classroom. Participants engage in Life Science discussions, touching on topics such as time management, study strategies and career exploration.

  • About 425 students live on campus in the Trinity and St. Hilda's residences. The residences are co-ed, though men and women live in separate sections of the residences.

  • Less than 10 years old, the John W. Graham Library is equipped with a growing collection of 200,000 books, periodicals, electronic and other media. Wireless Internet access is available, in addition to over 30 computer workstations.

  • There is plenty of activity at Trinity College through student organizations such as the student newspaper, the International Relations Society, the Immunology Society, the Trinity College Dramatic Society, the Chapel Choir, the Literary Review and the Yearbook. Students also play sports organized through the Athletic Associations organization.

  • Trinity College is home to Canada's oldest student-run debate club, the Literary Institute.
