Founded in 1933, Union County College is the oldest two-year college in New Jersey. Accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, UCC offers a career-focused education at its campuses in Cranford, Elizabeth, Plainfield, and Scotch Plains.
Students at Union County College can choose from certificate and degree programs in more than 80 areas of study in the fields of health,
nursing, natural sciences, social sciences,
business, and technology. The
associate degree programs at UCC prepare students for employment or for transfer to a four-year institution. For students who wish to transfer to a baccalaureate college, Union County College offers articulation agreements with more than 45 schools in 12 states. Several degree programs are available entirely
online, including Associate in Applied Science degrees in
business Management and Computer Science.
Union County College competes for the NJCAA in baseball, golf, basketball, soccer, and volleyball. Students can also participate in campus media, student government, the Student Volunteer Organization, and a variety of activities on and off campus.
