At the Air Force Academy, enlightened leadership is inspired through a wide variety of subjects that will provide you with a well-rounded knowledge in many fields, and intimate knowledge in your area of
Expertise. There are 32 available majors from which to choose. The Air Force Academy takes
education seriously, and expects the same of Cadets. Grading is strict and the expectations are high. But so are the rewards.
The fall and spring semesters contain approximately 17 weeks of instruction (42 lessons), extending from early August to the week before Christmas and the first week in January through mid-May. A limited number of academic courses are offered for the Third-, Second- and First-Class cadets during a 10-week summer term.
