The Universal College of Healing Arts, located in the historic Florence District of Omaha, Nebraska, began in 1995 as a response to the community's desire for a massage therapy licensure program. The school offers a 1,000-hour massage therapy diploma program and an associate degree.

The Universal College of Healing Arts' 1,000-hour massage therapy diploma program prepares students for licensure as massage therapists. The associate degree program expands the students' employment opportunities in the medical community. Both programs are also offered in a blended online format. Students take the academic courses online and attend weekend intensives for the practical components.

Courses for the diploma program include massage theory and practice, anatomy and physiology, wellness, complementary therapies, business, specialized massage, kinesiology, general pathology, pathology research and clinical application, applied anatomy, massage internship, community service, advanced massage, curriculum integration/board preparation, Eastern physiology and anatomy, traditional Chinese medicine and an assortment of other courses. The associate degree program includes ethics, communication, integrated anatomy and treatment, sports massage, introduction to psychology, clinical massage, myofascial release therapy, healing foods and herbs, and a variety of other courses.

  • The Universal College of Healing Arts' facility is 12,500 square feet with a full massage clinic, eight private treatment rooms, business offices, classrooms, and a fully-equipped gymnasium.
