It's a Puerto Rico school located in Santurce, which is one of the more central sectors of the metropolitan area of San Juan. The mission of Universidad del Sagrado Corazon is based on the teachings and the ecumenical orientation of the Catholic Church.

Universidad del Sagrado Corazon began as an elementary Puerto Rico school, established in 1880 by the order of the Sacred Hearts, in San Juan. At the beginning of the 20th century, the school acquired a farm and established the grounds that form the university.

The curriculum of this Puerto Rico school comes from a central center of general education classes to understand that these classes prepare the student for life, both personally and professionally. The basic formation of the areas of human knowledge permit the student the capacity to the working world and the specialties of the areas in which the student studies.
