Universidad Metropolitana is a Puerto Rico college that offers its students a great deal of options when it comes to education. There are a variety of fields where students can earn their degree, while also having the opportunity to participate in various clubs, sports, and after school activities that provide the perfect outlet for socialization.

Universidad Metropolitana was first established as a secondary campus for the old Puerto Rico junior college. In 1980, it became it's own school under the name of Colegio Universitario Metropolitano and in 1985 it became what is known today as Universidad Metropolitana. At the end of the 80s, Universidad Metropolitana revised its mission to give priority to the studies of a niche area of specialization.

There is a high quality of teaching at Universidad Metropolitana. The scientific investigation at the undergraduate and graduate levels, the opportunities both in and outside of Puerto Rico, the exchange program of students and faculty with international prestige from different universities, and the service to the community are just some of the distinctive aspects of Universidad Metropolitana.
