The Undergraduate School of business is one of only 163 business schools to earn complete accreditation for its accounting program, bachelor and master degrees. The School offers two degrees: a Bachelor of business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Systems Analysis. Our distinguished faculty teach a comprehensive management curriculum that is academically challenging and includes the latest knowledge and concepts in business as well as the arts and sciences. Students may choose from a wide variety of majors and minors to achieve their career and educational aspirations.

  • Approximately 9,000 undergraduate students attend the University of Miami.
  • Approximately 2,000 undergraduates are in the School of business at the University of Miami.
  • For the first two years (60 credits), students are required to complete the Lower Level Business curriculum which includes a combination of liberal arts and foundational business courses.
  • Upon completion of the Lower Level Business curriculum, students in good standing are permitted to apply for Upper Level Status and declare a major.
  • For the remaining 60 credits, students are required to complete specific survey classes in the upper level business core and in the major(s) and/or minor(s) of their choice.
  • Freshmen are eligible for additional scholarship awards from the School of Business. The awards are made on a competitive basis.
  • Many Fortune 500 companies actively recruit UM students for internships at their firms.
