The University of Michigan-Flint is situated on 76 acres in the heart of downtown Flint, Michigan, with eight academic buildings that are 850,000 square feet combined and connected by skywalks. The University of Michigan-Flint offers degrees in over 100 different programs of study in the College of Arts and Sciences and three professional schools: School of education and Human Services; School of Health Professions and Studies; and School of Management. Students can even apply to design their own degree program.

Coursework outside the traditional four walls include two online degree programs--a Bachelor of business Administration and a Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science in nursing--and hands-on opportunities for students of all academic interests. Study abroad programs are also available and have included International Nursing in the Dominican Republic and Globalization and Technologies of South East Asia in Bangladesh.

On-campus housing at Flint is now an option. A new 300-bed residential hall has been built on 5.25 acres on the southern edge of the campus.
