The University of Minnesota, Crookston is a four-year, public university with an enrollment of about 1,200 students. One of five campuses of the University of Minnesota system, the Crookston campus consists of about 29 buildings on 237 acres, approximately 25 miles east of Grand Forks, North Dakota.

Located in a small town of about 8,000 people, the University of Minnesota, Crookston offers degrees in agriculture, arts, humanities and social sciences, business, math, science and technology and natural resources. The curriculum incorporates management components and technology applications into most major coursework.

The Crookston campus has two residence halls and two apartment complexes that are living-learning centers that provide coeducational on-campus housing for 500 students. All students and faculty receive laptop computers, software and support for an annual technology fee.
