The University of Northern Colorado, founded in 1889 and located in upstate Colorado, offers over 100 undergraduate and more than 100 graduate programs. Northern Colorado's student body accounts for more than 11,500 undergraduate and 1,500 plus graduate students from 48 states, three territories and 29 countries.
There are learning communities, a support system of other students, for first year students and almost every major. Peer support, tutoring assistance, and career counseling are a few other student support mechanisms available at the University of Northern Colorado.
The Kenneth W. Monfort College of
business at the University of Northern Colorado is the first and only
business program to receive the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award from the Office of the President of the
United States and the only undergraduate-only program worldwide to be accredited by AACSB International in both
business and accounting. Northern Colorado's
Business School graduates earn a degree in
business administration with emphasis options in accounting, computer information systems, finance, general business, management or marketing.
