The
University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, founded in 1927, is the first and largest regional campus of the
University of Pittsburgh. The suburban campus is located on 650 acres in the Laurel Highlands of
Pennsylvania, 70 miles east of Pittsburgh. Johnstown offers more than 40 undergraduate majors.
Johnstown is a comprehensive college offering baccalaureate and
Associate Degrees in the
arts and sciences and in selected professional fields. Student enrollment is more than 2,700 full-time and about 450 part-time students. There are 143 faculty members, and the student to faculty ratio is 18 to one.
