The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma is the state's only public liberal arts college and a recognized leader in interdisciplinary studies. The Oklahoma university is located in Chickasha, in the heart of America's historic Southwest. The area is formerly home to more than 40 Indian nations, but Buffalo herds can still be seen from the road in several directions. The largest and most easily accessible herds are in the Wichita Mountain National Wildlife Refuge, 45 minutes south of campus.

The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma offers 23 degree programs and 13 pre-professional programs, such as pre-law and pre-pharmacy. The Oklahoma university offers small classes and a campus culture that fosters close faculty to student interaction and undergraduate research opportunities. In fact, the student to teacher ratio is 18 to one, which is among the lowest in Oklahoma. About 91 percent of the faculty have terminal degrees.

The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma operates on a trimester system, allowing students to graduate from college in three years. There is no charge for the third trimester for qualifying students.
