The
University of South Carolina Lancaster, founded in 1959, is a two-year, public coeducational university. One of the four regional University of South Carolina campuses, admission is given to students who show promise of academic success.
Associates degrees are offered in technical
nursing,
criminal justice and
business. The University of South Carolina Lancaster also offers courses from a number of fields of study, which may be applied toward a baccalaureate degree at another institution of higher learning. Fields of study include
business administration, criminal justice, education, applied professions, journalism,
liberal arts, physical education, and science and mathematics.
The 150-acre USC Lancaster campus has recently added a $10.7 million arts and sciences building, expanded and renovated the library and built a health services center on newly acquired property adjacent to the campus.
