One of seven colleges of the University of Toronto's downtown campus, the University of St. Michael's College offers students courses from its curriculum program as well as those of the University of Toronto's. Founded in 1852, the University of St. Michael's College has grown into one of the largest, Catholic institutions in all of English-speaking Canada. Located in close proximity to all that Toronto has to offer, students who attend the Toronto college are afforded cultural, entertainment, sporting events and social activities.

The University of St. Michael's College is made up of four faculties, which include St. Michael's College, the Pontifical Institute of Mediaval Studies, the Faculty of Theology and the Continuing education Division. St. Michael's College is dedicated to undergraduate programs. The Pontifical Institute of Mediaval Studies is one of distinction as it is one of the only institutions around the globe that is dedicated to medieval studies. It uses research, teachings and publications to enrich each student's mind with information pertaining to the Middle Ages. The Faculty of Theology is a graduate program that works in alliance with the Toronto School of Theology. The Continuing Education Division at the University of St. Michael's College offers lifelong learning opportunities to those who are motivated in building upon their knowledge and education. The program is a non-degree program.

Situated among greenery along the eastern side of the St. George campus, the residences of the University of St. Michael's College can house more than 400 residents within a number of different buildings. Students may choose to live in older, Victorian-style homes or up-to-date, larger structures. An all-female residence is also available. Whichever arrangements one prefers, residence life offers students at the University of St. Michael's College get involved and create friendships.
