The University of Tampa is a medium-sized comprehensive, private university located on approximately 100 acres of riverfront land in the heart of downtown Tampa. The Tampa campus is comprised of 48 buildings and nine residence halls. Students can choose to pursue an undergraduate or graduate degree from among more than 100 areas of study in four colleges.

More than 5,500 students from 50 states and U.S. territories and almost 100 countries attend the University of Tampa. There are 450 faculty, which makes the student to faculty ratio 15 to one. The average class size is 20. At least 90 percent of full-time Tampa faculty have doctorates or the highest degree in their field.

Graduate studies consist of nine master's programs and 10 concentrations that include: Master of Arts in Teaching; Master of Education; Master of business Administration; Master of Science in Accounting; Master of Science in Finance; Master of Science in Marketing; and Master of Science in nursing. The MBA program is one of the largest in Florida.
