University of Texas-Pan
American, located in the Rio Grande Valley, is the tenth largest university in the state and the fifth largest in the University of Texas System. UTPA leads the nation in the number of bachelor's and master's degrees awarded to Hispanics. The main campus of the University of Texas-Pan American is in Edinburg, Texas, less than a half-hour from the U.S.-Mexico border.
More than 17,000 students, from 28 different states and over 40 countries, comprise the student body. Most of the University of Texas-Pan American's students are from Texas. Students can pursue from 54 bachelor's and 50 master's degrees, two doctoral and one cooperative doctoral pharmacy program. More than 2,000 of the University of Texas-Pan American's graduate students are enrolled in 48 graduate level programs.
UTPA offers a Ph.D. in
business Administration with an emphasis in International
business, one of half a dozen such degree programs in the
United States.
