University of the Arts is the first and only university in the
United States solely dedicated to educating individuals in the visual, performing and communication arts. The Center City Philadelphia campus stretches for six blocks and is comprised of 10 buildings--state-of-the-art hybrid facilities that are part historical landmarks and part
technology powerhouses.
The University of the Arts in Philadelphia has more than 2,500 undergraduate and graduate students from 40 states, 30 countries and six continents. There are about 500 full and part-time faculty members who are practicing artists, designers, performers and communicators as well as educators. The student to faculty ratio is nine to one.
Students can pursue either undergraduate or graduate degrees at UArts' three schools, which are the
college of Art and Design, the College of Performing Arts, and the College of Media and Communication. Undergraduate degrees include Bachelor's of Science,
fine arts, and Music. Ten graduate programs include Master's degrees in Arts, Fine Arts, Industrial Design, and Music.
Students can choose from four residence halls with studio and apartment-style accommodations, equipped with bathrooms and kitchen facilities in addition to on-site security and laundry facilities.
