Founded in 1851, University of the Pacific is a private university located on three campuses in Northern california. Pacific offers over 80 undergraduate majors, more tha18 graduate programs in 9 schools and colleges and an excellent continuing education program. The University also guarantees that all students graduate within four years or any additional tuition is free.

Pacific's study-abroad program is among the best nation-wide. Pacific also offers its students tutoring, mentoring, community outreach, and environmental education through the Center for Community Involvement. The University of Pacific is committed to helping its students succeed and more than 80% of all Pacific students receive some form of financial aid.

Apart from academics, the University of Pacific has more than 90 student organizations and twenty intramural recreational team sports, 8 club sports and 16 intercollegiate sports. More than 10 performances are presented at the Conservatory of Music annually and the Theater Arts department generates over seven performances each year. Several fraternities and sororities also make up a thriving Greek life at Pacific.
