The University of Washington Bothell, one of the two branch campuses of the University of Washington, is located 14 miles north of downtown Seattle. The 126-acre campus borders a wetlands restoration site, which is utilized for research and educational opportunities.

Founded in 1990, the University of Washington Bothell has more than 1,800 students in undergraduate and graduate level programs. Programs include business administration, computing and software systems, education, interdisciplinary arts and sciences and nursing, with numerous degree options and concentrations within each program.

In 2006, the University of Washington Bothell admitted its first class of freshman. Those 140 students will graduate in 2010 as the first class to attend the school as a four-year university. The student body of the University of Washington Bothell is still comprised primarily of transfer students.

The University of Washington Bothell, along with Cascadia Community College, won the Habitat Restoration, Waste Reduction, Educational Awareness and More award.
