University of Wisconsin-Barron County, established in 1966, is one of 13 University of Wisconsin campuses nestled along the Red Cedar River on approximately 110 acres of partially wooded land. Students can study for the first two years of a
liberal arts general education. UW-Barron County is comprised of six buildings including a gymnasium and
fine arts building and offers associate of arts and science degrees and a
liberal arts, pre-professional transfer curriculum.

Allied Health professions, and psychology.
UW-Barron County offers students a guaranteed transfer program, which ensures them admission to the UW campus of their choice. After graduation students have the option of staying in the area and enrolling in distance education to earn a bachelor's degree from one of the four baccalaureate University of Wisconsin campuses that include: UW-Milwaukee, UW-Green Bay, UW-Superior, and UW-Platteville.
