The University of Wisconsin-Manitowoc is one of the 13 campuses of the University of Wisconsin colleges, which are part of the 26 campus UW system. The 40-acre campus is bound by Lake Michigan on the east and by Silver Creek Park, a 78-acre wooded park, on the south.

There are over 640 students enrolled at University of Wisconsin-Manitowoc and 40 faculty and instructional staff members. The class size at the two-year institution is about 25. Students can choose from over 100 classes offered in 25 different areas of study.

UW-Manitowoc offers students a guaranteed transfer program, which ensures them admission to the UW campus of their choice. After graduation students have the option of staying in the area and enrolling in distance education to earn a bachelor's degree from one of the four baccalaureate University of Wisconsin campuses that include: UW-Milwaukee, UW-Green Bay, UW-Superior, UW-Platteville.
