The University of Wisconsin-Marinette, one of the 13 campuses of the University of Wisconsin colleges, which are part of the 26-campus UW system, is located on 36 acres along the shores of Lake Michigan's Green Bay. The main building contains classrooms, science and computer labs, the student union/cafeteria, a greenhouse, and administrative offices. Other buildings on the UW-Marinette campus include the library/technology building that houses a computer lab, classrooms and distance education facilities and the Bay Fine Arts building that includes an art gallery, photography and music studios, performance hall, computer lab and seminar room.

There are more than 450 students enrolled at the University of Wisconsin-Marinette. The average class size is 25 students. Students are awarded an associates in arts and sciences degree and may study courses in more than 15 departments including: art; biological sciences; chemistry; engineering; geography/geology; mathematics; and psychology.

Four bachelor's degree programs from UW-Milwaukee and UW-Stevens Point are now available at UW-Marinette through a combination of compressed video and online courses. In addition, students can complete bachelor's degrees online from UW-Platteville, Green Bay, Superior, and Silver Lake College.
