The University of Wisconsin-Stout, one of 13 four-year schools in the University of Wisconsin System, is a Polytechnic University spanning 123 acres in the city of Menomonie, 60 miles east of Minneapolis-St.Paul. Founded in 1891, The Campus is now made up of 23 major buildings, 20 residence halls and more than 260 laboratories.

Students at the University of Wisconsin-Stout are able to choose from more than 30 undergraduate majors, more than 50 undergraduate minors, more than 15 graduate majors and two Advanced graduate majors. There are approximately 720 undergraduate courses offered per semester. More than half of the programs offered at the university are not available elsewhere in the University of Wisconsin System.

Enrollment at the University of Wisconsin-Stout is more than 8,400, with more than 7,500 undergraduates and more than 900 graduate students. More than 5,822 are Wisconsin residents, and the remainder of the student body comes from 36 states and 28 countries. Forty-nine percent of the students are male, and 51 percent are female.
