Wake Technical community college offers more than 90 different programs of study, offered by six different academic divisions. Students completing these programs may earn associate degrees, diplomas or certificates at the North Carolina college. Full-time students can usually complete an associate degree program within two years, a diploma program within one year or a certificate program within six months. Some programs may take longer.

Most curriculum programs at Wake Technical Community College are designed to prepare students for specific career opportunities. Some, but not all, programs offer students the opportunity to transfer college credits to private universities and North Carolina colleges. The Associate in Arts and Associate in Science programs, offered by the Arts & Sciences Division, are designated as university transfer programs. Selected associate in applied science degree programs, primarily in the engineering Technology Division, may also offer transferable credits.

Wake Technical Community College offers continuing education classes to those who are interested. Continuing education programs provide courses for those who need to train, retrain, and update themselves in a vocational or professional area, for those who desire instruction enabling them to grow in basic knowledge, improve in home and community life, and develop or improve leisure time activities, and for those individuals whose education stopped short of high school.
