Warren Wilson College, founded in 1894, is located in scenic Swannanoa Valley, near Asheville, North Carolina. With more than 40 major concentrations, about 25+ minors and an average of 17 students per classroom, this North Carolina college offers a unique learning experience for students. Warren Wilson college has a triad education philosophy that includes academics, work, and service. Among its many attributes, Warren Wilson College is situated on an 1100-acre campus comprised of a 300-acre working farm, a 700-acre managed forest, 25 miles of hiking trails, and much more. The college is recognized as "The Greenest College" in the southeast by Blue Ridge Outdoors as part of the magazine's Green Globe Awards. The college also appeared on Sierra magazine's list of 10 coolest schools in the fight against global warming and ranks #3 nationwide.

Not only does Warren Wilson boast an impressive undergraduate curriculum, but a world-renowned MFA Writing Program as well. This program remains one of the top low residency MFA programs in the country with a faculty that has won the Pulitzer Prize, The National Book Award and many others.
