Washington State community college is a two-year institution of higher learning that offers more than 50 programs. Founded in 1971 as Washington Technical Institute, this Ohio College is located on a 280-acre campus along the Ohio River. Throughout the years Washington State Community College has been committed to enriching the community and the lives of its members, through quality education, training, community service, and cultural activities.

Washington State Community College's programs enable students to obtain associate degrees or certificates. To better aide in its service to students, this Ohio college offers courses via several outreach programs, classes taught at off-campus locations throughout the state. And in order to facilitate students' transfer to traditional four-year college and universities, Washington State Community College has entered into articulation agreements with several institutions. Thanks to programs with Franklin University and Rio Grande University, students have the opportunity to complete their bachelor's degree on the campus of Washington State Community College.

Serving the counties of Washington and Morgan, Washington State Community College is truly a college for the community, with students ranging in age from less than 18 to more than 65. On average, students are 27 years old, with day students averaging 25, and evening students averaging 30.
