Washington State University Vancouver, established in 1989, is a comprehensive institution offering undergraduate, graduate, and certificate programs in a variety of disciplines.  Washington State University Vancouver is part of the Washington State University system.  Undergraduate programs available to students include anthropology, biology, business administration, computer science, digital technology and culture, education, electrical engineering, English, environmental science, history, human development, humanities, mechanical engineering, nursing, psychology, public affairs, social sciences, sociology and others. Graduate degrees at Washington State University Vancouver are also offered in a diverse range of fields including accounting, business administration, computer science, education, environmental science, history, mechanical engineering, nursing, public affairs, and teaching.

The WSU Vancouver campus is located in the scenic town of Vancouver, Washington. The campus, spanning more than 300 acres, is home to numerous state-of-the-art facilities accessible to students. Among them are the WSU Vancouver Library, which offers 800 journals in hardcopy; over 9,000 full-text online journals and newspapers; more than 20,000 books; access to more than 100 major bibliographic databases; and knowledgeable research support. Other facilities include a fitness center, the Student Resource Center, and a newly constructed Undergraduate Classroom Building.

Students can take advantage of a diverse range of both on- and off-campus activities.  Among them are intramural sports such as soccer and basketball, as well as other recreational opportunities. Also available to students are clubs, organizations, and a student government (ASWSUV) though the Office of Student Involvement. 

Not only are there numerous on-campus activities, but there is also a plethora of off-campus recreational, cultural and historical attractions. Attractions include the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site, the Vancouver Farmers Market, and many others. WSU Vancouver's campus is also within close proximity to the city of Portland, Oregon.
