Community College is located in Goldsboro. Seven modern buildings on a new campus contain more than 287,000 square feet of state-of-the-art classrooms, laboratories, and offices.
The 1997-98 college year marked the 40th Anniversary of Wayne Community College, celebrated with the theme "Forty and Proud!" The College's rapid growth has paralleled that of the
North Carolina Community College System, which is one of the largest in the United States. During the past four decades, Wayne Community College has established a long-standing reputation for quality in certificate, diploma, and associate degree programs which prepare students for promising careers. The first two years of a four-year degree are offered through five different associate degree college transfer programs, and Wayne Community College graduates have a high success rate at four-year institutions.
