Waynesburg University is a comprehensive Christian university offering doctoral, graduate and undergraduate programs in more than 70 academic disciplines. The university was founded in 1849 by the Cumberland Presbyterian Church and is located in Western Pennsylvania about an hour outside of the city of Pittsburgh. The universities master's program Universities-Master's (North) was rated in the third tier of U.S. News & World Report's "2008 Best Colleges."

Some popular majors at Waynesburg University include: business, communication, education and law. Students can take advantage of small classes as well as an outstanding faculty with about 70 percent holding doctoral or terminal degrees.

The University's campus is situated on about 70 acres of scenic land featuring about 23 buildings and state of the art facilities including the Eberly Library and the Center for Research and Economic Development.

Students are not only offered a diverse range of academic programs but can also take advantage of the athletic programs as well. The University boasts numerous men's and women's varsity sports including basketball, soccer, volleyball, football and more. The affiliations include the NCAA Division III and the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC).

Waynesburg is one of the first colleges to offer degrees to women and the Waynesburg College vs. Fordham Football game was the first televised football game in the nation.
