seminary is located in
Washington, D.C. and is considered one of the largest seminaries in the world. WTS offers several graduate level programs in
theology such as a Master of Divinity, a Masters of Arts, a Masters of Theological Studies, a Doctor of Ministry and more. All programs offer preparation for careers and leadership positions in their specific programs areas. The Masters of Divinity for example will help to prepare the students for a position as a pastor of a church and their ministry positions.
Wesley Theological seminary students represent a diverse range of denominations, ages and backgrounds. In the fall of 2007, more than a dozen of Protestant denominations were represented and 50 percent of the class was affiliated with the United Methodist Church. Among the many unique opportunities at Wesley is the National Capital Semester for Seminarians. This program brings together Seminarians from around the world to participate in a semester long study of theology, ethics and
Public Policy.
Wesley Theological Seminary offers numerous campus facilities to promote and facilitate the
education of
Christian ideology. Among the many facilities is The Henry Luce III Center for the Arts and Religion where creativity and theology can interconnect. Also on Campus is the Dadian Gallery, offering numerous art exhibitions as well as the Wesley Theological Seminary Chapel.
Students can discover a world of culture, historical landmarks, museums, libraries and more as well off campus events in the City of Washington DC. Attractions include one the nation's oldest federal cultural institutions, The Library of Congress. It is the largest library in the world and a major resource for students with millions of books, maps, manuscripts and more in its many collections.
Wesley Theological Seminary also offers numerous scholarship options for students including the Kwang Lim and Korean Wesley Fellows, the Korean Endowment Scholarship and Transgenerational Scholarships, the Denit Fellows Program and more
