Wesleyan College is the world's oldest
women's college. Since its inception in 1836 as the Georgia Female College, Wesleyan College has achieved honors like no other
women's college. Wesleyan offers more than 35 majors and 29 minors included self-designed majors and interdisciplinary programs.
Wesleyan has a strong biological and physical sciences program. The college also offers a dual degree in
engineering in conjunction with the Georgia
Institute of Technology,
Auburn University and
Mercer University. Wesleyan's has eight pre-professional programs include pre-engineering, pre-medicine, pre-dental, pre-veterinary, pre-pharmacy, pre-health sciences, pre-law, and pre-seminary.
Wesleyan students often partake in a vigorous student life, with over forty clubs and student organizations to choose from. The College also encourages its students to form new clubs and organizations that suit their interests. Wesleyan also participates in five NCAA sports, including basketball, soccer, tennis, cross-country and softball.
