Founded in 1964, West Valley College is a public
community college located in the Silicon Valley. Accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, WVC promotes student success and economic development through technical education and transfer preparation.
Students at West Valley College choose from more than 60
associate degree programs and 90 certificate programs in the arts and sciences,
business, language, physical education, science, mathematics, social sciences, and a wide range of technical fields. Many classes are offered in a
distance learning format, and the Educational Transition Adult Reentry Program offers support to adult learners at WVC. West Valley College also offers non-credit enrichment courses to the community.
The athletics program at West Valley College offers nine men's teams and seven women's teams competing at the varsity level. Students can also participate in various organizations on campus including club sports, academic and professional groups, and Student Senate.
